- Saptavargaja Bala (dignity across 7 divisional charts) uses natural planetary friendship only, not the finer compound (natural + temporal) friendship tiers.
- Cheshta Bala for the five non-luminary planets uses actual-vs-mean motion speed as a continuous stand-in for the classical discrete motion categories.
